Vein Disease
Vein disease, also known as chronic venous insufficiency, is a condition where the veins in the legs are unable to effectively return blood to the heart. This happens when the valves inside the veins become weakened or damaged. When they fail, they have difficulty circulating blood back to the heart and can lead to blood pooling in the legs and, if left untreated, can lead to several different complications and conditions.
Common Symptoms
Chronic leg pain or heaviness
Swelling in the legs or ankles
Varicose veins
Skin changes such as discoloration or thickening
Skin ulcers or open sores that can be slow to heal
Itching, tightness or feeling of restlessness in legs
Bulging veins
Frequent leg cramps
Conservative treatments such as medications, compression stockings, and lifestyle changes haven’t helped
Diagnosis
Diagnosing venous insufficiency begins with taking a detailed medical history and performing a physical exam. Ultrasound imaging along with custom vein mapping to identify where blood flow isn’t working properly is then performed. This approach helps pinpoint the exact problem areas in the veins. Additional tests may be performed as needed to get a complete picture, ensuring the best treatment options are recommended for the patient.
Spider Veins are typically purple, red or blue in color and form a weblike pattern around the outer layer of your skin. They are typically painless but can be an early sign of venous insufficiency. If left untreated, they may worsen over time and potentially develop into varicose veins.
Varicose veins are enlarged, bulging veins often painful and visible through the skin. They can appear as blue or purple, knot like cords and occur most often in the legs. Varicose Veins are the result of venous insufficiency, or venous reflux, where circulating blood does not properly return to the heart. This causes blood to pool and pressure to build in the veins, weakening the vein walls and causing them to bulge.
Vein Disease Progression
Normal Veins
Stage 1
Reticular veins or spider veins
Stage 2
Varicose veins or venous nodes
Stage 3
Edema of the lower leg
Stage 4
Varicose eczema or trophic ulcer
Non-Surgical Vein Treatment Options
The primary goal of all vein treatments is to close off unhealthy veins and redirect blood flow to healthier ones. Our minimally invasive approaches employ methods like mild heat, laser technology, radio frequency energy, and specialized foam or adhesive medications. Once the targeted veins are closed, blood flow naturally reroutes to healthier veins. Recovery time is minimal, and most patients can return to normal activities within a few days.
Sclerotherapy is a highly effective and minimally invasive treatment used to eliminate both spider veins and smaller varicose veins. During this procedure, a special solution is injected directly into the problem veins. This solution causes the vein walls to collapse, and over time, the vein is absorbed by the body. Once the treated vein is closed off, blood is naturally rerouted through healthier veins.
Varithena is a minimally invasive treatment used to address varicose veins and the symptoms associated with Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI), including poor circulation, restless legs and swelling. It involves the injection of a special foam solution into the affected veins, which causes the veins to collapse and close off. Once the vein is sealed, blood flow is naturally rerouted to healthier veins, improving circulation and reducing symptoms like pain, swelling, and heaviness in the legs.
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a minimally invasive treatment for larger varicose veins and symptoms of Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI), including poor circulation, restless legs, aching or heavy legs, tingling and itchy legs, and pain while standing. Guided by ultrasound, the physician inserts a small catheter into the damaged vein and uses radiofrequency energy to heat and close the vein, causing it to collapse. As the vein is sealed, blood flow is redirected to nearby healthy veins, enhancing circulation and reducing symptoms.

Most especially, I want to recognize Dr. Saha, who is truly one of the most excellent physicians I have ever encountered. He quite literally changed my life. Dr. Saha diagnosed and treated my pelvic congestion syndrome and my severe foot pain with a level of care, precision, and humanity that is incredibly rare.
What sets Dr. Saha apart is not just his impressive credentials, but how he practices medicine. He listens deeply. He applies and synthesizes his knowledge in real time, thoughtfully adapting his approach to the patient in front of him. He explains complex medical information clearly and patiently in true layman’s terms, ensuring understanding rather than confusion. I never once felt rushed or dismissed, only respected.
His attention to detail, preparation, and willingness to approach delicate procedures with humility and care speaks volumes about his character and skill. The outcomes of my procedures reflect this: effective treatment with minimal trauma and clear signs of thoughtful, expert technique.
Finding an outstanding vascular specialist is incredibly difficult. Finding one who combines technical excellence with empathy, communication, and integrity is even rarer. Dr. Saha is that physician, an absolute angel of a doctor, and I am profoundly grateful for his care.
I cannot recommend Dr. Saha and his entire team highly enough. This is medicine practiced the way it should be.

The appointment process is smooth and efficient—they are always able to get patients in faster than any clinic I’ve ever been to. The clinic itself is modern, clean, and welcoming—it never feels like a cold or intimidating medical office.
Dr. Saha is wonderful. He listens attentively, explains everything clearly, and makes you feel confident in your care.

Backstory: I’d been having painful periods since 2020.. to where every month I’d have to call off work at least two days because the start of my flow was so heavy and painful..abdominal cramps and overwhelming fatigue would keep me in bed and missing out on life events. The pain felt like something blocking my flow.. something was in the way of having normal periods.
It wasn’t until I finally sought out my Gyno for an ultrasound that I found out I had uterine fibroids - one the size of my own uterus! Although there were a few surgical options.. the best option for me, a 36 y/o childless woman, was the Uterine Fibroid Embolization. My Dr. led me to a referral to My Aim Health and Dr. Arnold Saha - best decision made.
I had my procedure done early May, 2025..
From the outstanding, caring and compassionate team that walked me through the procedure to the surgical team performing the minimally invasive surgery.. everything went amazing.
The pain I felt for 5 years.. it’s gone. A month and a half later post surgery.. the heavy pressure my body was under dealing with the control of fibroids has been alleviated. It’s like my body did a big exhale of relief! Even my bladder is happier because the fibroid isn’t pushing on it making me feel like I have a uti.
All in all, if you are thinking about having this procedure done.. do it! This is your sign!
My Aim Health and Dr. Saha are amazing at what they do and they can help cure you of your uterine fibroid pain! I’m grateful and thankful to have had such a great experience🥲🥰🙏

Scheduling appointments is incredibly easy, and their ability to get patients in quickly—especially when something is urgent—is unmatched. It’s rare to find a clinic that’s so efficient without compromising on the quality of care.
Dr. Saha is truly outstanding. He takes the time to listen, answers questions thoroughly, and explains things in a way that’s easy to understand. His collaboration with other providers at the clinic shows just how cohesive and patient-focused their team is.
The clinic itself is clean, modern, and welcoming. It has a calming atmosphere that helps ease the anxiety often associated with medical visits.
I would absolutely recommend My Aim to my family and friends. They deliver exceptional, timely care with kindness, professionalism, and respect. It's clear they truly care about their patients.
