Chronic Shoulder Pain

Shoulder Embolization is a non-surgical treatment option designed to reduce inflammation and restore shoulder mobility. Using ultrasound and x-ray guidance, the doctor will guide a tiny microcatheter from the wrist to the arteries of the shoulder. Tiny particles will be injected into the abnormal arteries causing inflammation in the shoulder. This will reduce inflammation, decrease pain, and improve mobility. Patients typically experience minimal discomfort and can resume light activities shortly after the procedure. Following the procedure, physical therapy is encouraged to regain optimal shoulder function.
